On March 10, two new azimuth stern drive tugs named Rawabi Dreamer and Rawabi Victory were handed over to Rawabi Vallianz Offshore Services (RVOS). These tugs were contracted to RVOS clients to support their marine activities. The vessels were received by Osman Ibrahim, Rawabi Holding Group president and CEO, and Ahmed Alqadeeb, Group Vice President Oilfield Services, at a ceremony held by Albwardy Damen in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
Designed for worldwide operations, the HTV will be deployed for the transportation of
structures such as monopiles, jackets, transition pieces, and turbine blades to support offshore wind farm projects, as well as heavy structure modules for liquefied natural gas and will carry
out floatover operations of offshore structures.
Featuring zero-emissions capability, the dynamic positioning II (DP2) vessel will be the first of its kind, as it will be driven by a hybrid power system consisting of alternative dual-fueled engines and a fully closed energy storage system. In addition, the HTV features the proven Ulstein X-Bow®, which contributes to reduced energy consumption and provides more comfortable and safer operations when sailing through waves.
